When you visit a relative in assisted living, don't set your pocketbook or clothing on furniture. Seniors tend to have a milder allergic reaction to bed bugs and these insects are able to infest these facilities far easier than single-family homes and apartments.
When you go to work or your kids go to school, refrain from putting duffel bags, backpacks, and other bags down next to the bags of other employees or students.
